A word of explanation. In “aspiration note” 8, Mulenga Davies says “Are caterpillars more than my rights”. He is referring to the fact that, to protect crops from being eaten by caterpillars, the children have to go and pick them off the plants by hand – spending time in the fields rather than being educated.
